IDPAC Mobile App — Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 13, 2026
Overview
This policy describes what information the IDPAC mobile app (iOS and Android) collects, why, and how it's handled. IDPAC (International Druze Public Affairs Council) is the data controller.
Browsing the app never requires an account. The Home, Activities, Join, Connect, and About sections work fully without signing in or providing any personal information. There is no self-serve account creation in the app — sign-in exists only for IDPAC administrators who publish and manage events.
Information we collect
If you use the Connect form: your name (optional), email, and the message you write. This is not live chat; IDPAC staff reply by email.
If you enable activity reminders (optional, off by default): a device push-notification token, so we can send you a notification when a new event is published. The app is fully functional with this left off.
We do not collect location data, browsing history within the app, or any information from users who are only browsing.
Membership and volunteer sign-up happen outside the app. The Join tab's "Become a member" and "Volunteer" buttons open IDPAC's own membership and volunteer forms on Neon CRM in your browser. Any information you provide there is collected and handled directly by IDPAC's Neon CRM portal, not by this app.
How we use this information
- To reply to messages sent through the Connect form.
- To send activity-reminder notifications, only if you've opted in.
Sharing with third parties
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
- Our infrastructure provider (Supabase) hosts the underlying database on IDPAC's behalf under a standard data-processing arrangement; it does not independently use your data.
Data retention and deletion
Messages sent through the Connect form are retained so staff can respond; contact us if you'd like a message deleted.
Administrator accounts can be deleted by the administrator at any time (About → Your Account → Delete account), which permanently removes their login and profile from IDPAC's systems.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children. IDPAC membership is limited to Druze adults 18 and older, per the eligibility terms on IDPAC's membership form.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change, and significant changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
